What's New

This site is dedicated to Babylon 5, the show that has for some time stood out as the best on television. It was written in a five year arc--an arc that saw its end on November 25th, 1998. It's very difficult to say good-bye to this show, but it is wonderful that it was done so well.

This site is also dedicated to the short-lived, but entertaining spin-off series, Crusade.

For those of you who don't know Babylon 5, I heartily recommend that you watch the reruns on TNT. Unfortunately, the reruns are only on Saturdays, but it's still worth it. B5 is well written, well acted, and it is very much worth your while to stay with it.

I've been meaning to expand this site for some time, and I still hope to do so, but life has a funny habit of taking up your time. The updates are coming, though. This site's strength has always been as a guide to other sites online that provide resources for B5 fans and for the curious. Below are links to many of the sites making up the B5 community on the web. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

General B5 Pages:

  • The Lurker's Guide to Babylon 5. This is the most comprehensive Babylon 5 page online, and is one of the best designed pages I've ever seen. Many of the links on this page came from The Lurker's Guide. Check it out if you have any question at all about the show. I guarantee you'll find an answer or a pointer to an answer on this page.
  • TNT's Official Babylon 5 Page. This is TNT's official page. Great design, and TNT's really gotten its act together with supplying content. This is where to find the very best scheduling information, because TNT keeps changing it. Also, there's information here about B5: Crusade, the spinoff show about the Rangers that's been approved to begin production. This site often has fun interviews with the cast, and you can download the very cool promos for the show TNT has produced. Also, it was very nice of them to pick up Babylon 5. We wouldn't have had a fifth season if they hadn't. That alone makes it worth dropping by this site. Who'd a thunk I'd ever have anything for which to thank Ted Turner.
  • Gray 17. A hidden site on the TNT page.
  • The Babylon 5 Moderated News Group. No flames, story ideas, etc. Just intelligent discussion of the best show on tv.
  • Warner Bros. B5 Page. The WB site has been neglected for a while, but that's okay. Some of the old stuff is interesting. They've got a lot of nice photos from the first four seasons, and Real Audio interviews with cast members.
  • The Official Babylon 5 Fan Club. Cool page. You can chat with other B5 fans (I never have, but the conversations look interesting if you are into the show), purchase B5 merchandize including official fan club T-shirts which are nicely designed, and, if you join the club, access JMS's private production journal.
  • Ronin's Babylon 5 Page. Ronin has graphics you can use to make very nice labels for your B5 videocassettes (if you're like me and tape absolutely all of them).
  • Kam's B5 Page.
  • Babylon 5 Spoiler Junkies Links.I hate spoilers. I like to be surprised. I added this link for those of you who like them.
  • The Gold Channel. A UK B5 site.
  • Agamemnon. Another UK B5 site.
  • The Babylon Project. Another UK B5 site with lots of information including items on Crusade.
  • www.babylon5.co.uk. A comprehensive UK B5 page.
  • An Australian B5 site. This site has a lot of general information, but is also a good role-playing site.
  • YorkSite Babylon 5 Page. A great site.
  • B5nz. Babylon 5 New Zealand.

The B5 Universe:

  • Voltayre's Encyclopedia Xenobiologia. A site dedicated to information about the many races who inhabit the B5 universe. Very nice design.
  • We are all Kosh. Lots and lots of links to various B5 sites, including many with info about the B5 universe.
  • Alien Sector--A Guide to Babylon 5. A site dedicated to the various races which populate the B5 universe.
  • Hyperspace. A guide to the ships of the B5 universe.
  • The Babylon 5 Encyclopedia.
  • InterStellar News. This used to be a collection of B5 video clips. Unfortunately, Warner Bros. has decided to go the way of Fox w/ the X-Files and Paramount/Viacom w/ the Star Trek series in cracking down on fan sites which compile clips and the like from the show. The letter threatening a lawsuit which was sent to the people who did ISN is now posted at the site. JMS has said that compiling clips is a violation of union rules, so that's why Warner Bros. closed the site down.
  • The Pak'Ma'Ra Antidefamation League. A site dedicated to the Pak'ma'ra.
  • Plenty O' Pakmara. Another site dedicated to the Pak'ma'ra.
  • The Down Below Sound Archive. A (huge) collection of sound clips from the series.
  • Dateline:Babylon5. Lots of information. I particularly like the feature, "The Babylon 5 That Never Was." It is concerned with changes in the arc related to cast changes. Most of the information is about the Sinclair/Sheridan storyline.
  • JJ's Jump Point. This is my friend's B5 site. She wrote a paper for one of her classes using Joseph Campbell's monomyth in relation to the character, John Sheridan. While I personally have some problems with Campbell's theory, I think JJ makes a really good argument, and her paper is worth checking out (Be warned, there are spoilers for the whole series, here). Also, JJ's site is home of Anla'Shok Whitestar 13.
  • Episode GIFs. Can I just say that this is an incredible page. It has a ton of images from the series. Very nicely done.
  • The Narn Homepage. As it says, All Narn, all the time. Pretty comprehensive.
  • The Babylon 5 History Page. Very comprehensive. It features a timeline of B5 events. I like it a lot.
  • Ranger One. A page dedicated to the Anla'Shok.

B5 Cast and Crew:

  • All of the Cast
  • Wayne Alexander
  • Richard Biggs
  • Bruce Boxleitner
  • Jason Carter
  • Ardwight Chamberlin
    • The Official Kosh Fan Club. Who Are You? Ardwight Chamberlin gave Kosh his voice. This page is more about the character Kosh than Chamberlin, but it was the best I could do.
  • Claudia Christian
  • Jeff Conaway
    • Jeff Conaway Fan Page. Jeff Conaway plays Zack Allen. I really like both the character Zack, and from what I've seen in interviews and the like, the actor Conaway. They both seem to be genuinely good people.
    • The Jeff Conaway Fan Club.
  • Josh Cox
  • Robin Atkin Downes
    • The Robin Atkin Downes Fan Club. Robin Atkin Downes played Byron, the telepath activist, starting at the beginning of the fifth season. I must say, while I like what the character Byron stands for, I have never been more annoyed by a B5 character. Byron grates on the nerves in a big, big way. Downes also played Morann, an important and considerably less annoying Minbari character in "In the Beginning" and "Atonement."
  • Jerry Doyle
    • Fanz of Garibaldi. Jerry Doyle plays Mr. Garibaldi on B5. This is a fanclub dedicated to Doyle.
  • Maggie Egan
    • Maggie Egan. This is a page dedicated to the woman who has played the main ISN anchor on B5 and will continue in this role on Crusade. I'm not sure if I'm going to divide the cast & crew list into one for B5 & one for Crusade. For now, the crusade actors go in the main list.
  • Harlan Ellison
    • Harlan Ellison's Webderland. Harlan Ellison is the Conceptual Consultant to Babylon 5. This is a nice, cushy job, whereby Mr. Ellison, one of the most talented and prolific short story writers of our time, got to consult on the best show on television. This site is huge and very well done, especially since it's dedicated to a man who is no big fan of the web. This site is done with Harlan Ellison's approval and input. I recently got to meet Mr. Ellison at a con, and I gotta say, he lives up to legend. He's also a fan's dream, spending a lot of time signing & generally making conversation. He's a fountain of information about a variety of things and (and this is quite nice) an all-around romantic when it comes to his wife. Needless to say, I think he's very cool. Okay, enough Ellison butt-kissing.
  • Christopher Franke
  • Mira Furlan
    • The Mira Furlan Page. This page is dedicated to the elegant Mira Furlan who plays Delenn. It is very comprehensive.
  • Stephen Furst
    • The Ambassadorial Aide Homepage. Stephen Furst plays the noble Vir Cotto. He has also directed several episodes of B5. This page is dedicated to both Vir and Lennier (played by Bill Mumy) and the actors who portray them.
    • A Tribute to Londo & Vir. This is a site dedicated to Vir and to Londo Mollari, a character played by Peter Jurasik. It has biographical information about the actors, but is primarily about the characters they play.
    • Just a note--I got to meet Stephen Furst at a con, recently. He is so nice, I just can't tell you enough. He was very sweet to the fans and very funny. The more I meet people connected to Babylon 5, the more I'm convinced that the people who made this show are some of the most respectful, kind & fan-oriented folks in SF.
  • Neil Gaiman
    • Neil Gaiman is a talented writer whose credits include (but are by no means limited to) the Sandman series and the novel Neverwhere. He wrote the season 5 episode, "Day of the Dead," which was quite good. You can purchase the teleplay from the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund, an important organization that defends the First Amendment rights of those involved in comicbook creation and sales. Mr. Gaiman is very cool. I met him at a con and for some reason was literally speechless every time I was within spitting distance. I don't think I've ever been truly speechless before. JMS named the race the Gaim after him.
    • The Neil Gaiman Collection. A great Gaiman page.
    • A Neil Gaiman Interview.
    • For more Gaiman links, visit my writers page.
  • Peter Jurasik
    • A Tribute to Londo & Vir. Peter Jurasik plays Londo Mollari, a character who turned out to be one of the more complex and engaging characters on the show. This site is dedicated to the characters Londo and Vir Cotto (who is played by Stephen Furst), but also has information about the actors who portray them.
  • Andreas Katsulas
    • Citizen G'Kar. A site dedicated both to the character G'Kar and Andreas Katsulas, the actor who portrays him.
    • A picture of me with Andreas Katsulas. Andreas Katsulas plays G'Kar on Babylon 5. He's an excellent actor, who, if there were any justice in the world, would have already gotten an emmy for his performance on the show. He is also a very nice guy.
  • Walter Koenig
    • The Koenig Kontinuim. The official fan club of Walter Koenig who is most famous for having played Chekov on the original Star Trek series. Though I will always have much love for Trek, I gotta say, Bester is one of SF's best villians ever on any show.
  • Bill Mumy
  • Michael O'Hare
    • Friends of Michael O'Hare. Michael O'Hare elegantly portrayed the wonderful Captain Sinclair, B5's first CO. This is a fan site to which Michael O'Hare has given his name whose purpose is to raise funds for some of his favorite charities.
    • The Command Post of Michael O'Hare. A page dedicated to Michael O'Hare and Jeffrey Sinclair. The Command Post of Michael O'Hare isn't the full name of this page, but if you haven't seen season 3 of B5, its full name could be considered a spoiler, so I won't give it.
  • Tracy Scoggins
  • J. MICHAEL STRACZYNSKI
    • The Church of Joe. (This link appears to be defunct. If anyone knows a current, accurate link to the Church of Joe site, please email me with it. Also, if the site has been officially discontinued, I'd love to know this, too.)A fan site dedicated to J. Michael Straczynski, set up as if it were a church, with the people related to the show as its saints. This idea probably stemmed from the fact that people have taken to calling JMS "The Great Maker," a moniker he's surely earned as creation of and work on B5 makes him just short of divine in my book (he's not quite divine, as I am a monotheist, afterall [and hell, the man's an atheist, so he probably doesn't care, anyway]).
  • Patricia Tallman
  • Andrea Thompson
  • Tamlyn Tomita
  • John Vickery
    • The Star Riders. This is a site dedicated to John Vickery and his B5 character, the excellent Neroon.
  • Ed Wasser
    • The Ed Wasser Fan Club. What do you want? It's an Ed Wasser fan club dedicated to him and to his character Mr. Morden.
  • I'm still working on more cast member sites. If you know any, please pass them along. Also, I would like to include more sites dedicated to the crew. I think the behind-the-scenes people need to be recognized for their work, too. If you know of any good links in this area, please pass them on.

Other:

  • The Jumpgate <*> Pin Page. Follow this link to a site which sells pins based on the usenet symbol for a jumpgate: <*> These pins were designed by a fan and are very cool.
  • Babylon 5 Fonts. Redsun has a lot of freeware B5 fonts including a great dingbats font.
  • Babylon 5 listings at Yahoo.
  • RL Dietz's Babylon 5 Page. This page is very interesting. It's done by the photographer whose pictures are on the walls in the B5 series. You don't really think about it, but they're everywhere, and it's neat to have them pointed out. He has copies of the pictures that grace, for example, Sheridan's office's walls, available for viewing on his page.
  • IEI--Interstellar Explorers Illustrated. This site is set up as if it were a publication actually published in the B5 universe. It's an interesting idea. The site is still under construction, so most of the categories they list aren't up, yet.
  • The Mining Company's Babylon 5 Page.
